Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Employee Benefits (benefits are based on classification):

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Tennis Supervisor, the Tennis Assistant helps with a variety of jobs including helping the Tennis Pros with the junior tennis program and tennis camps. In addition, the Tennis Assistant may be asked to help keep the 22 tennis courts at three sites (Community Center, the Ranch House, and the Bradford Park) clean, safe, and functional. 

Essential Functions:

The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of the Tennis Assistant and should not be considered an all-inclusive list.  

• Assist the tennis pros with running junior tennis classes and summer tennis camps. 
• Help with Junior Team Tennis (JTT), both on the court and administratively. 
• Communicates regularly with the Tennis Supervisor.
• Ensure a safe environment for participants and that proper safety precautions are being followed.
• Consistently promote a positive image of the District and provide excellent customer service at all times.

Secondary Functions

• Remove trash and any debris from outdoor courts (branches, zip ties, etc.). 
• Empty on-court trash containers in tennis building and replace with new trash liner bags. 
• Keep storage areas clean and organized. 

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to work a schedule that includes weekdays, evenings, and weekends. 
2. Ability to work independently with energy and enthusiasm. 
3. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at a level adequate to perform the job. 

Special Requirements

1. Must be at least 16 years of age by the first day of work.

FIELD ENVIRONMENT: 

Working Environment

1. Moderate physical activity will be required frequently. 
2. Work will be required outdoors in all weather conditions. 
3. Work may be required under hazardous and adverse conditions, including, but not limited to, slippery and uneven surfaces and proximity to moving mechanical equipment. 
4. Use of sensory activities, such as talking, seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling (identifying objects by touch), depth perception and color vision will be required frequently. 
5. Work will involve periods of high physical, mental and/or emotional stress. 

 Physical Requirements

1. Have ability to lift, move and carry objects in excess of fifty (50) pounds frequently. 
2. Have ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, stoop, bend, lift, squat, push, pull, crawl, jump, slide, climb, pinch, grip, reach overhead, reach away from body, and perform repetitive motions.
