Tennis Pro Shop Assistant

Description

Performs daily cleaning and maintenance of courts and maintain/repair tennis maintenance machines and equipment.  Maintain the Tennis shop and schedule tennis time.

Requirements

• Prepares tennis facilities for members every morning and afternoon using the facility checklist.

• Builds-up low spots, shaves high spots, dusts (plugs or feathers material) on all clay courts.

• Maintains court tapes, nets, fences and gates in good condition including removing debris and dust from surface of hard courts.

• Applies calcium chloride on clay courts.

• Prevents algae and moss from forming through chemical and manual agitation.

• Maintains court coolers, ice chest and tennis shoe cleaners.

• Replenishes supplies such as ice, towels and cups.

• Maintains court drainage gutters, drains and catch basins clean. 

• Installs, removes and repairs court wind screen and keeps them neat and tight on the fences.

• Communicates with desk personnel regarding court conditions.

• Ability to operate and maintain machines and equipment.

• Delivers and picks up machines to repair shops for overhauls.

• Maintains proper supplies of towels, cups and ice to members and guests.

• Records all charge tickets and charges guest fees.

• Responsible for demonstrator tennis rackets loaned to members and their guests.

• Assist with on-court play or sales as needed.

• Processes court reservations and updates sign-up sheets.

• Assists in finding cooperative partners for players. 

• Informs members about club programs and tournaments.

• Directs members and guests to their courts.

• Promotes and sells Tennis Shop merchandise.

• Maintains an organized and visually appealing Tennis Shop including vacuuming and dusting shop daily, removing towels and taking to laundry area.

• Reports any complaints, feedback, or concerns from membership to Director of Tennis.

• Attends staff meetings.

• Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Director of Tennis.
