Terrain Park Halfpipe/Salt Crew

This is a summer position. The FTC will be open from June16- July 26, 2025

Monitor and maintain terrain features in FTC halfpipe and other locations as needed. Crowd supervision, halfpipe maintenance and salting, risk management awareness education, Freestyle Terrain etiquette and guest relations.

Requirements

• Stage out salt in FTC halfpipe and tow lines.
• Determine salt needs for FTC halfpipe.
• Determine maintenance needs for FTC halfpipe and spine airbag
• Assist with Salting FTC terrain park and tow lines.
• Assist with maintenance and setup on the 22’ spine airbag.
• Install and maintain halfpipe signage, closures, trail markings, fencing and rope lines.
• Monitor Halfpipe by visual inspection and testing according to company policy.
• Monitor and maintain terrain features and equipment in parks.
• Assist with special events including but not limited to erection and maintenance of equipment.
• Guest relations and education within the parks. 
• Assist with trash removal. 
• Actively participate in RLK and Company’s Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace
• Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present.
• Present a professional, quality image at all times.  
• Exercise sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming. 
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Assist ski patrol with guest injuries as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must abide by all requirements set forth in Timberline Employee Handbook.
• Must have advanced skiing skills as determined by management.
• Must be willing and able to handle any Terrain Department needs as necessary.
• Must be self motivated and able to work with Terrain Park crew and others.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Must present a mature, professional and positive attitude at all times. 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must be able to ski through the halfpipe with 50+ pounds in hands or on backpack
• Must be able to use Backpack salt spreader through terrain park and in halfpipe.
• Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
• Must be able to work in ski gear, walking, standing for up to 8 hrs. at a time. 
• Must be able to keep up with pace of department/position demands. 
• Must be able to ride 80% of features in terrain parks. 
• Must be able to frequently lift a minimum of 50lbs+.
• Must be able to work in snow, icy, uneven, slippery conditions.
• Must be able to shovel all types of snow in all types of weather conditions.
