Therapeutic Horticulture Facilitator

Location: West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA

Position: Part-time

Duties:

• Facilitate therapeutic horticulture and beginner to intermediate horticulture education for Veterans.
• Provide professional facilitation with expertise in care for complex Veterans, including those with PTSD, cognitive impairment, and disabilities such as chronic pain.
• Supervise garden maintenance, planting, and harvesting activities for therapeutic benefits.

Requirements:

• Experience in therapeutic horticulture and horticulture education.
• Expertise in caring for complex Veterans, particularly those with PTSD, cognitive impairment, and chronic pain.
• Ability to work collaboratively with VA staff and adapt to the needs of the Veteran population.
• Availability to work three half days per week.
