Position Type: Seasonal/Part Time weekends (Sundays) June 10th-October 14th

POSITION OVERVIEW: 

The Trolly driver will be responsible for transportation of Museum visitors throughout the Museum campus in a safe and timely manner. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· Drive tractor with modified trailer attached making stops throughout the Museum letting passengers on and off.

· Ensure safety of all passengers and visitors.

· Assist with boarding and off-boarding of passengers, particularly those using the lift gate on the rear of the trailer.

· Check trolley tractor for fuel, fluid levels and oil each morning.

· Inspect trolley daily for safety hazards and tire pressure.

· Report mechanical difficulties to the museum mechanic.

· Monitor the condition of trolley route for potholes, low branches and other hazards.

· Maintain a polite manner while interacting with visitors and other Museum staff. 

· Responsible for providing information and answering visitor questions on the Museum’s facilities and its daily events. 

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

· Clean NYS Driver’s License

· Ability to work a flexible schedule

· Experience driving heavy machinery a plus.
