Job Summary
We are searching for a skilled Trucker Driver with a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and significant experience in operating boom lifts and heavy equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for planning optimal routes, ensuring punctual deliveries, and conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance. Primarily, you will load, unload, and transport boom lifts and various heavy machinery and equipment using a Semi Mac truck pulling a Landoll TL SE tilt trailer. Safety, efficiency, and professionalism are paramount in this position."
Responsibilities:
- Pick up equipment from designated locations and ensure safe transportation to the destination.
- Safely load and unload heavy equipment onto and off the trailer, using proper techniques and equipment.
- Perform routine safety inspections and preventative maintenance checks on both the truck and trailer.
- Plan the safest and most efficient routes of travel to ensure timely deliveries and minimize risks.
- Adhere strictly to delivery schedules, prioritizing punctuality, and reliability.
- Maintain a detailed driving log, accurately documenting work periods, rest periods, fuel expenses, and any incidents.
- Ensure full compliance with all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal driving laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a Trucker Driver, preferably with experience in transporting heavy equipment and machinery.
- Proficiency in operating boom lifts and other heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Excellent driving skills and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle loading and unloading heavy equipment.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours and weekends as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with a Semi Mac truck and Landoll TL SE tilt trailer.
- Certification in operating specific types of heavy equipment.
- Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and repair tasks.
