OVERVIEW
Heartbeat Music and Performing Arts Academy is seeking a contract Tumbling Dance
Teacher for our Encanto location, specializing in infants and toddlers. The Tumbling
Dance Teacher will introduce our youngest learners to the joy of movement, helping them
build coordination, confidence, and creativity in a nurturing, playful environment.
The teacher will collaborate with the Dance Education Specialist to create engaging,
age-appropriate tumbling and movement classes that foster early motor skills, spark
imagination, and support the holistic growth of our students.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ Lesson Planning: Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that
introduce basic tumbling, creative movement, and rhythm exploration tailored to infants
and toddlers.
⦁ Classroom Culture: Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment that encourages
play, exploration, and early socialization.
⦁ Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Heartbeat Music and
Performing Arts Academy Director of Performing Arts, staff, and families to ensure a
cohesive and supportive experience for students.
⦁ Observation & Guidance: Monitor student engagement and progress, offering
supportive feedback to parents and caregivers as needed.
⦁ Program Enrichment: Incorporate music, props, and interactive activities to enhance
class flow, encourage creativity, and maintain student engagement.

TIME COMMITMENT
⦁ Weekly classes at our Encanto location.
⦁ Scheduling flexibility may be available, based on program needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
⦁ Background in dance, tumbling, gymnastics, or early childhood movement education.
⦁ Prior teaching experience with infants and toddlers preferred, but not required.
⦁ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with both
children and parents.
⦁ A professional work ethic, including reliability, enthusiasm, and a nurturing approach.
⦁ CPR/First Aid certification preferred, but not required.

REQUIREMENTS
⦁ Transportation: Reliable transportation necessary.
⦁ Clearances: Must undergo and clear a background check and live scan fingerprinting.
⦁ Proof of negative TB test.
⦁ Physical clearance.
