Are you passionate about helping students succeed? We’re hiring Academic Tutors to provide personalized, one-on-one support for students in grades K–12 across math, English/ELA, science, and history subjects primarily.

This is a flexible, in-person role, perfect for teachers, substitute teachers, education majors, or anyone who loves working with students and wants to make a difference outside the classroom.

What You’ll Do

• 
  

  Provide one-on-one academic tutoring for K–12 students in-person, usually on a campus or in students homes

  
  


• 
  

  Support learning in core subjects, including math, English/ELA, science, and history

  
  


• 
  

  Help students with homework, study skills, test prep, and organization

  
  


• 
  

  Adapt instruction to meet each student’s unique needs and learning style

  
  


• 
  

  Encourage confidence, motivation, and independent learning

  
  


• 
  

  Submit brief session reports to keep families and our team updated

  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 
  

  Strong knowledge in one or more core subjects (math, English/ELA, science, history)

  
  


• 
  

  Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable, professional, and punctual

  
  


• 
  

  Clear communicator who builds trust with students and parents

  
  


• 
  

  Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in Carlsbad, Oceanside, and surrounding areas

  
  


• 
  

  After-school availability (weekday afternoons and early evenings) required

  
  

Qualifications

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree (or currently pursuing one) in education or a related field preferred

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with students individually or in small groups

  Organized, adaptable, and student-focused
