Job Summary:

We are seeking an energetic and experienced Tutor to join our team! As a Tutor, you will assist students individually and in small groups, helping them understand educational concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for tests. Your goal is to help students to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is reliable, understanding, and has a passion for education!

FOR THIS POSITION WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TUTOR WHO IS COMFORTABLE WITH MATH, SPECIFICALLY UPPER-LEVEL MATH LIKE ALGEBRA, CALCULUS, GEOMETRY, ACT Math and Science ACT

You do not need to have a teaching degree but should see yourself being able to help students understand the material.

We are also looking for teachers to teach our reading program, elementary math, etc.

ACT experience is a plus as this tutor could also tutor in our ACT program as well.

Responsibilities:

Help students understand new concepts

Teacher Sylvan programs

Assist students in preparing for tests and completing assignments

Teach problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Tutor is preferred

High school diploma/GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred

Patient, understanding, and reliable

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to pass a background check

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
