About the Role: CLT Tutor Operations Assistant – 20 hours per week August – November

The CLT Tutor Operations Assistant will support the CLT Volunteer Operations team, including but not limited to lead conversions, orientation communications, school assignment emails and orientation facilitation. The CLT Tutor Operations Assistant reports to the Senior Manager of Tutor Operations and Data.  

Job Responsibilities: Key responsibilities are listed below.  

• Manage and monitor volunteer signups through Salesforce – including but not limited to converting Salesforce Leads into Opportunities, adding related organizations, assigning school placements, adding tutors to tracker/schedules, clarifying selected volunteer commitment  
• Manage communication to tutors about orientation (sending orientation options, following up to ensure tutors sign up, sending reminders to attend, etc.) 
• Deliver part 1 and 2 orientations 
• Send school assignment emails to 200+ tutors and manage email responses and Salesforce updates 
• Deliver technology trainings 
• Mail lesson guides to virtual tutors and coordinate lesson guide pick up for those who want to pick up 
• Support with background check follow-up (texting and/or calling tutors who haven’t completed it) 
• Support with prior tutor follow-up to recruit returning tutors 
• Support with tutor appreciation items (November) 
• Other support to the Volunteer Recruitment/Operations Team as needed (eg events, prospective tutor outreach, proofreading and content support)

• Strong computer skills and ability/willingness to learn programs including but not limited to Word, Excel, email and contact management, Salesforce, file sharing systems (Dropbox and Google Drive), video-conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets). 
• Self-starter – works towards goals with minimal supervision 
• Strong public speaking skills
