As an Armed Security Officer at Precision Security Team, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the public at your assigned location. Your responsibilities will include addressing security concerns and handling requests as needed to ensure the safety and satisfaction of clients and the community.

We are actively seeking to fill this position by August 16, 2025, with the individual completing the hiring process, onboarding, orientation, and training by that date. Our priority is finding the right candidate—not just the first available one. Your schedule would be 6:00 am-6:00 pm Saturday and Sunday for a total of 24 hours, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts at this site and at other sites int he company. Please do not apply if this does not work with your availability.
This position is heavily focused around social services. Candidates for this position must be comfortable around at-risk populations such as persons experiencing homelessness, drug and/or alcohol addictions, mental health crisis, trouble with the law, etc. Those with experience with or an interest in social work are encouraged to apply. Candidates must also be 21 years of age.
Critical Roles of the Position:
CCTV Monitoring: Maintain vigilant oversight of all areas of the facility through real-time and recorded surveillance systems. Promptly identify and report suspicious or unsafe activities to ensure the safety of clients, staff, and visitors. Must be able to recognize patterns and respond appropriately to observed behaviors.
De-escalation: Utilize verbal and non-physical de-escalation techniques to defuse potentially volatile or emotionally heightened situations. Approach all interactions with empathy, patience, and professionalism to maintain a safe and respectful environment for vulnerable populations.
Facility Patrols: Conduct routine and thorough patrols of both interior and exterior areas of the property. Monitor for safety hazards, unauthorized persons, and signs of distress or emergencies. Maintain a visible presence to deter misconduct and provide reassurance to clients and staff.
Report Writing: Accurately document all incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed, timely, and objective reports. Ensure all documentation meets company, client, and legal standards, and reflects clear communication of events and responses.
Staff Interaction: Work collaboratively with on-site staff, including case managers, social workers, and administrative personnel. Maintain open lines of communication to support safety and operations, while respecting professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those in crisis. Must be able to convey information clearly, calmly, and respectfully—both verbally and in writing—to clients, coworkers, and emergency responders.
Independent Work Capabilities: Demonstrate strong decision-making, time management, and accountability while working alone or with minimal supervision. Must remain focused, proactive, and resourceful, especially in high-stress or unpredictable situations.
Precision Security Team or the client can assign additional duties as needed.
Mandatory Qualifications:
Fingerprinting: All candidates must successfully complete a fingerprint-based background check in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This process ensures the highest level of safety and security for the vulnerable populations served at this site.
10-Panel Pre-Employment Drug Screen: Applicants must pass a comprehensive 10-panel drug screening prior to employment. This screening tests for a broad range of substances to help ensure a drug-free and safety-conscious workplace.
CJIS Training Certificate: A valid Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Training Certificate is required, or must be obtained prior to assignment. This certification ensures understanding of data security protocols and proper handling of sensitive or criminal justice information.
Federal Background Check: All candidates must undergo and pass a federal background investigation, which may include checks against national databases and criminal history records. This is essential for positions with access to secure areas or sensitive information.
Physical Stamina and Endurance: The position requires the ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, often under varying weather or facility conditions. Candidates must be able to respond quickly to emergencies, including climbing stairs, assisting in evacuations, or standing for long shifts.
Adaptability in Work Environments: This site serves individuals with diverse backgrounds and complex needs. Candidates must demonstrate emotional resilience, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions, including handling unpredictable or high-stress situations.
Preference for Veterans and Law Enforcement Experience: Applicants with military or law enforcement backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Pay: This W2 position pays $21.65. Employees who work 30 or more hours a week are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance. PST adheres to a hands-off approach whenever possible, prioritizing verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques. The only instance where physical intervention is appropriate is if an individual poses an immediate physical threat to themselves, others, or you. Acceptable physical intervention techniques will be taught during our mandatory Phase I training.
Employment with Precision Security Team is "at-will," meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, as permitted by Colorado law. This at-will employment relationship cannot be altered or modified except by a written agreement signed by both the employee and an authorized representative of the company.
