Position Overview: Always Best Care of Fairfax is seeking an uplifting, compassionate and experienced CNA to provide personalized, in-home support for a client currently undergoing cancer treatment. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life by offering not only practical assistance but also emotional encouragement during a challenging time. The ideal candidate will bring a gentle, uplifting presence and have prior experience supporting individuals on a cancer journey. Responsibilities include meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities, all delivered with empathy, patience, and respect for the client’s energy levels and emotional well-being.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the client in-home as they go through their treatments


• Provide personal care tailored to the needs of the client, including assistance with ADLs (support with ambulation; bathing support, if necessary; etc)


• Escort the client to medical appointments, social events, and community activities

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with active license in the state of Virginia


• Positive, upbeat personality and a compassionate, client-centered approach


• Experience caring for individuals on a cancer journey


• Physically able to assist with transfers using gait belts or other mobility aids


• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
