US History Teacher - Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael

Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael is hiring a part-time teacher to teach a section of US History at an all boys high school. This position is ideal for someone with a current teaching position looking for additional work, a graduate student interested in teaching at the high school level, or a retired teacher who isn’t quite ready to leave it all behind.

We can provide you with a home to teach your passion! In addition to traditional academics, our wide array of electives enrich the academic curriculum and showcase the creativity of our faculty. If you want to develop hands-on, project-based courses, we want to talk to you!

Responsibilities include

Create and implement lesson plans  You will be responsible for teaching one section of high school US History. For the right candidate there may be opportunities to advise student clubs, based on your interests. 

Monitor and communicate student progress  Provide feedback to students and their families on academic, social, and behavioral progress. Maintain appropriate records. Create two-way communication channels with families so they are updated on their child’s progress.

Other responsibilities  As assigned by the Head of School.

Details

Location: Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael is in Chestnut Hill (Newton), Massachusetts

Hours: The hours for this position have some flexibility between 1:30-5:30 p.m. 

Salary: $10,000 per class
