Van Driver - Part Time

The Lutheran Home is looking for a Part-time Van Driver to join our team. We are looking for a candidate with strong driving skills, a clean driving record and a valid Class E driver’s license. In this service role, you will transport residents for our healthcare community in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Safely transport residents to and from designated locations in a timely manner.
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.
• Engage in courteous and respectful conversation with residents and their families.
• Keep track of fuel usage.
• Conduct daily safety inspection of vehicle, including checking the interior, exterior, brakes, headlamps, and taillights; report any mechanical malfunctions or other issues as required.
• Participate in the routine cleaning and servicing of the vehicle, including fueling; check oil and fluid levels; clean the windshield and headlamps; and maintain the vehicle in clean and safe operating condition.

• High school graduate or GED certificate, preferred
• Strong driving skills and a clean record
• Class E Driver License
• CPR certified, or ability to become CPR certified within 60 days of employment
