VETERAN CAREGIVER SPECIALIST provides essential care and support to veterans who need assistance with daily living activities in their homes.

JOB SUMMARY: The Home Health Aide will provide compassionate, hands-on assistance to veterans in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The role involves personal care, companionship, and support with daily activities, tailored to the unique needs of veterans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist veterans with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.


• Provide mobility support, including transferring, positioning, and walking assistance.


• Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition based on dietary needs.


• Administer medication reminders and monitor health conditions.


• Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a respectful and understanding environment.


• Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and maintaining a clean living space.


• Assist with transportation to medical appointments, therapy sessions, or community activities.


• Communicate effectively with veterans, families, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.


• Follow VA guidelines and protocols for home health services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of VA healthcare programs and veteran-specific needs.


• Ability to travel between clients’ homes daily


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and provide compassionate care.


• Experience working with veterans or individuals with disabilities is preferred
