Responsibilities:

Assist the veterinarian during examinations, treatments, and surgeries

Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately

Prepare examination rooms, surgical instruments, and medical supplies

Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian

Monitor animals before and after procedures

Maintain accurate patient records and update client information

Educate pet owners on post-care treatments, vaccinations, and general pet wellness

Clean and sanitize work areas to uphold a safe and hygienic environment

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a veterinary setting is preferred but not required

Strong passion for animal care and welfare

Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely

Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures and terminology is a plus

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

We have expanded our dog boarding with our newly-fenced 1/3 acre backyard. Just a stone's throw from Darien, New Canaan, Pound Ridge and Greenwich, we also offer home visits for an additional fee.
