Violin Instructor

Description

We are searching for a talented and dependable violin teacher to join our school. To be successful as a violin teacher, you should demonstrate excellent instructional skills and patience. Outstanding candidates are lifelong learners who are always improving their skills. The ability to teach another instrument is a plus!

The violin teacher’s responsibilities include evaluating students’ needs and preparing lessons that will help them achieve their goals and keeping track of appointments. You will prepare students for recitals and exams and you will communicate parents frequently.

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours. Available teaching hours are Monday-Friday (3:00-8:00pm), and Saturday (9:30am-5:00pm).

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be $42-52/hour for private lessons. Eligible employees can take advantage of paid sick leave and a 401(K) program with employer matching.

Requirements

· Teach in-person lessons at Newark studio (Newark, CA)

· Bachelor's degree in violin performance/music/music education preferred

· At least 1year of teaching experience preferred

· Excellent communication skills

· Be responsible, punctual, organized, and patient

· Authorization to work in the US
