Job Summary
The Volleyball Sports Coordinator is responsible for running the 6 week i9 Sports Volleyball program. This person should have a strong knowledge of volleyball concepts, skills, and drills for beginning and intermediate volleyball players and be comfortable leading a group of kids and parent volunteers to execute the volleyball program.

Program Overview
The i9 Sports Volleyball program is a 6 week, one hour instructional program for kids ages 7-14. Most kids will be beginners learning volleyball for the first time.

Responsibilities

Work with i9 Sports staff to evaluate players and develop the 6 week practice curriculum.

Teach & demonstrate core volleyball concepts

Supervise the overall operation of volleyball on game day

Positively engage with kids and parents with a positive attitude and superior customer service skills

Referee games

Cross-train with other sports (soccer, baseball) to assist as needed

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills - you need to be comfortable speaking to a group of kids and parent volunteer coaches in the gym to keep the program high-energy and highly instructional!

Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems

Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players

Ability to work Saturdays 7am - 2pm in Petaluma
