This position works on the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids sports team and will lead training sessions & clinics at each branch location, based on program demand.

The YMCA of Great Grand Rapids utilizes a Membership By Design framework, which is a member involvement and community building model for YMCAs across the country. All staff members—front-line, management, full- and part-time—and volunteers have a role to play in member engagement. These responsibilities can be broken into six steps:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The volleyball instructor will plan, develop, and implement volleyball curriculum for all programs across the association. This position requires face-to-face leadership in these programs and may involve early morning, evening, and weekend responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs any other functions necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids Association.
COMPENSATION
$20.00 - $24.71 ; Part Time, Non Exempt (up to 25 hours/week)
BENEFITS:
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in volleyball programming and instruction; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required. Basketball coaching at high school level or higher preferred and/or collegiate or professional player preferred.
