Wakefield, MA: Part Time Nanny Needed- July Start!

Our Wakefield family is looking for a part time nanny for their sweet baby girl and potentially a nanny share with the baby's cousin. The family is excited to meet a dedicated, caring, kind, and flexible caregiver that wants to join their team. Candidates must have experience caring for infants, have knowledge of infant-toddler development, and be well-versed with keeping babies engaged and meeting developmental milestones. Candidates must be early risers, as this position requires a 5:30am start. Parents are both physicians with demanding work schedules and little flexibility. Candidates must be comfortable with 2 friendly cats in the home. The nanny will not be responsible for pet care. Family would love a caregiver willing and able to provide occasional date night and overnight care.

This role has the potential to add another (same-aged) infant on Thursdays only. Ideally, we would love someone that would welcome a nanny share with the baby's cousin. Let's chat about options if this feels like a great fit. We can't wait to hear from you!

Charges: Infant, 4 months old

Base Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30am-5:30pm. Nanny share would only be on Thursdays.

Rate: $28.00-$32.00 per hour DOE & fit. Nanny share rate: each family pays 2/3 of the nanny's hourly rate

Start Date: July 8th

Job description:

• Creating a safe and stimulating environment for baby
• Lots of play, age appropriate activities, and general engagement!
• Tidying up after child and work day
• Bathing and dressing
• Preparing bottles, meals, and snacks (once baby starts solids)
• Indoor and outdoor play and going for walks
• Facilitating age appropriate developmental activities- singing, rocking, reading books, etc.
• Facilitating outings, playgroups, and playdates once age appropriate

Requirements:

• Warm, patient, loving demeanor
• 5+ years of infant care experience with references
• Excellent communication skills
• Active, energetic, LOVES BABIES!
• Organized and professional
• Non-smokers only, please.
• Up-to-date CPR/First Aid Certification
• Up-to-date COVID and Flu vaccines preferred
• Comfortable with cats in the home
• Can easily get down and up from the floor and carry baby up and down the stairs, carry stroller, car seat, etc.
• Cheery and Helpful Disposition
• Background Check (provided by agency)
• Driving Record (provided by agency)
• Takes good direction on parenting style and family's routine, then requires minimal to no oversight.
