About the Role:
Join McKenney Home Care as a Weekend Caregiver and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients in Sarasota, Venice, Englewood, North Port, Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. We are seeking compassionate individuals who are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support during the weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance with grooming and bathing
- Alzheimer’s and Cognitive Care
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
- Bring compassion and joy to our treasured clients on a daily basis
- Meal preparation, shopping and planning
- Provide one-on-one companionship to enrich our clients lives
- Remind clients take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with ambulation and safe transfers
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
Requirements:
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is a plus but not required
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
- Willingness to complete AHCA background screening
- Willingness to complete Hands-On CPR Certification - we offer a $50 class and give you your cert
- Willingness to complete TB Test or provide one that was completed within the last 6 months
