Welcome Center Associate (Part-Time)

Are you a night person looking for a few hours a week to join a great team to engage with fun members? Are you organized, reliable, enthusiastic, and personable? Do you like working with people with a focus of making their visit the most enjoyable possible? If so, the Greendale Family Branch YMCA is looking for you to join our Welcome Center.

The candidate must have excellent interpersonal/ human relations skills, including the ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment with staff, volunteers, and members and the ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner.

Essential Functions:

• Greet all YMCA members coming in when scanning their membership passes & create a friendly atmosphere at the branch 
• Provide accurate information about programs, YMCA memberships and policies to members & potential members 
• Promote membership at the YMCA and present new member materials to establish and engage potential new members including the sales of new membership enrollments
• Responsible for entering member cancellations and follow up with phone calls as needed 
• Assist with any administrative tasks, member requests and follow front desk procedures
• Follow all guidelines and policies according to the YMCA of Central Massachusetts including following emergency procedures when necessary 
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required 
• Perform other assigned duties as needed

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years old
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred
• Able to use and navigate on a computer and computer related systems

Job Type: Part-Time

Schedule: Mondays from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. (Shifts may be available to pick up throughout the week)

Pay: $15.00/hour including Access to the Facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
