Wellness Center Spa & Fitness Representative

Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Spa & Fitness Representative to join our team. This role is central to creating a positive experience for guests and members by providing exceptional service, supporting daily operations, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in the Wellness Center. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, energetic, and passionate about wellness, recreation, and hospitality.

Qualified candidates must be available to work morning shifts starting at 7:30 AM and evening shifts that may end as late as 9:00 PM.

Essential Job Duties:

• Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of Wellness Center operations, products, services, and programs. 
• Manages reservations for fitness and racquet programs, as well as Spa and Salon appointments. 
• Provides accurate and friendly information regarding all Wellness Center services, recreational programs, and general Rumbling Bald information. 
• Assists guests with sports equipment rentals, activities, Summer Camp reservations, and retail purchases. 
• Ensures a clean, welcoming, and well-organized environment, including retail floor displays. 
• Monitors adherence to Wellness Center, fitness center, and indoor pool rules to promote safety for all guests and associates. 
• Handles revenue transactions and follows all cash handling procedures per company policies. 
• Maintains the cleanliness and overall appearance of Wellness Center areas. 
• Communicates effectively with team members and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
  

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a customer service or retail role. 
• High school diploma or equivalent required. 
• CPR, First Aid, and/or Lifesaving certification preferred. 
• Must pass a background check. 
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills. 
• Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated. 
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform moderate physical activity, including lifting items up to 50 pounds and standing or walking for 8+ hours per day. 
• May encounter extreme temperatures or loud noise levels. 
• Occasional exposure to physical hazards requiring adherence to safety protocols. 
• Requires bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pulling, and fine motor skills using hands and fingers.
