IHC Lawrence County WIC in Bedford is now recruiting for a part-time WIC Competent Professional Authority (WIC Nutritionist) to join our team. IHC welcomes current Registered Dieticians or Nutritionists, BSNs, or deemed WIC Nutritionists-eligible per IDOH to apply for this role.
This is a part-time position scheduled 16 hours per week.
The WIC Nutritionist completes dietary and health habits assessments and provides education that will promote health in mothers and children. They work with other WIC staff to improve the nutrition and health of WIC clients, their families, and the public at large. The Nutritionist also promotes breastfeeding as the preferred method of infant feeding by both educating and supporting WIC participants, their families, and the public at large.
