Woven Childcare Coordinator

OVERVIEW

The Part-Time Woven Childcare Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of childcare for birth to Pre-K children for the mothers who attend Woven. Woven is a ministry based on Titus 2 which fosters relationship building in intergenerational groups as women study the Word of God together. Providing a safe space to care for the children of the women who attend is one way we live out the love of Jesus in the Woven ministry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Leadership

• Train and develop new team members.


• Collaborates with the Woven leadership team to schedule when groups will provide women to support childcare throughout the year.


• Shepherd the Woven Childcare team throughout the ministry year, including communicating and meeting regularly with the team.


• Bring pertinent leadership and team issues to the Director of Women’s Ministry for collaboration and insight to make the ministry better and unified.


• Meet with the Woven Leadership Team and work collaboratively to develop a ministry year schedule.


• Displays insight to safety and security concerns and procedures.  Adheres to the policies and procedures of Grace Kids that ensure safety and security issues related to equipment use, hygiene, and room ratios; recognizing and preventing negligence or abuse while in Woven childcare.

Administrative 

• Manage Woven Childcare team rosters and applications of new team members.


• Maintain registration and accurate Woven Childcare child rosters.


• Schedule the workers for the rooms each week and make on-site adjustments as needed on Tuesday  mornings.


• Manage payroll spreadsheet for Woven Childcare room leaders.


• Ensure proper set-up and clean up of the Woven Childcare program.


• Other supports tasks as needed.

Communications 

• Communicate regularly with the Director of Women’s Ministry and the Woven leadership team.


• Communicate with Woven Childcare parents as needed.


• Prepare handouts to parents and training material to childcare team members

• Planning/Organizing: Ability to design, plan, organize, and problem solve regarding each aspect of the Woven Childcare ministry. 


• Dependability:  Arriving on time and ensuring scheduling and set-up is complete prior to Tuesday morning Woven Childcare program 


• Professional with a commitment to Christ-like service.


• Communication skills: Ability to write and speak well.


• This position requires a task-oriented individual who has a gift for organization and administration, a love for children and working with volunteer teams.

SCHEDULE

• 7 hours weekly.


• Hours are to include Tuesdays, 8:00 am–1:00 pm on site at Grace from September to May.


• On-site office hours are flexible the other months of the year. 

RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to the Women's Ministry Director


• Works closely with the Community Life Administrative Coordinator
