WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
X-ray Technologist
Location: Onsite Melrose Park
Days/Hours: Every Other Saturday , 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
Pre-screening for radiographic exam, documenting patient's medical history prior to any examination
Sterilize and maintain X-ray equipment, maintains cleanliness or rooms and keeps adequate stock of supplies on hand
Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns
Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
Administration of aseptic injection technique for contrast
Document radiological services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to appropriate physician
Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
Ensures quality standards are met and promotes continuous quality improvement
According to department standards and protocols set by radiologist, perform all job related functions as an X-ray Technologist, including all imaging procedures in a timely and efficient manner
Perform all other duties as assigned
Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance
Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions

Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized
Technical proficiency, extensive knowledge and skilled expertise in radiological technology
Effective, composed communication to address patient's questions
Interpersonal skills, patient focused attitude with passion and sensitivity towards their care
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program
ARRT registered in radiography
Previous experience favorable in diagnostic radiology/imaging setting
