Job Title:  Yoga Training Instructor Services

Location: West Haven, CT 06516

Duties:

• Yoga for Wellness Class 2 classes once a week (1 in West Haven/Orange and/or 1 in Newington) (or as per agreement):

• • Total number of classes = 96 classes/year (60-75 minutes/session).

• Ongoing once a week Progressive Yoga Newington (or grouped in i.e. 6/8/11/12 week sessions) (or as per agreement):

• Total number of classes = 44 classes/year (60-75 minutes/session).

• Ongoing Mindfulness Based Trauma Focused Yoga. Ongoing weekly sessions for PTSD Program in trauma focused yoga for beginners and advanced veterans.

• • Total number of classes = 48 classes/year (60-75 minutes/session).

Education & Qualifications:

• Certification through a Yoga Alliance e-RYT 200 (experienced registered yoga teacher) or equivalent program (200 contact hour training plus 1000+ documented teaching hours) and 2 years of teaching experience, RYT 500, or C-IAYT (certified yoga therapist).

• Trauma informed yoga training if it was completed

• The yoga Instructor/Contractor (or designated Yoga teacher) must have experience working with patients who may have the following diagnoses:  Chronic Pain, Traumatic Brain Injury, Anxiety, Insomnia, Depression, Drug Addictions, or Anger issues.

• Yoga Instructor/Contractor (or designated Yoga teacher) must have experience in working with patients who have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or have had additional training in Trauma sensitive/related Yoga or additional training/certification for working with military or veteran population.
