Youth and Teen Staff (Part-Time)

Are you responsible, creative, fun, and like to work with youth and teens between 12-17 years of age? If so, please consider applying and joining our Youth & Teen team at the Greendale Family Branch YMCA!

Under the direction of the Youth Development Director, the Youth and Teen Staff will assist with planning and implementing a safe, inclusive, active teen program which encompasses creative and physical activities. 

The Teen Center Staff is responsible for the monitoring of the Teen Center and its participants. Making sure all participants and members are using the space safely and efficiently.

There will be a focus on leadership development, mentorship, skill building. Activities will include homework help, group activities, cooking and college tours. Prospective counselors should be creative, responsibly and reliable. They must have the ability to multitask, take initiative and work well independently, and as a team. 

Schedule: Saturdays, 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Sundays, 12:00pm - 5:00pm (occasional weekday hours available)

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old 
• Two years of related experience working with teens and at-risk youth preferred
• Preference to candidates who hold a valid driver's license
