Description

The Youth Development Professional will work with members to facilitate their personal, social and educational development to enable them to gain voice, influence, and place in society as they make the transition from dependence to independence. The YDP will assist in youth development in creating a safe environment to learn, grow, and thrive. A YDP will provide coaching and guidance in facilitating out daily operations, programs and special events. 

This program operates Monday-Friday after school dismisses 2:00pm until 6/7:00pm, with the occasional all-day program on non-school days (7:30am to 6:00pm). 

Requirements

What you’ll do:

  • Be a friendly face, mentor, and positive role model, providing guidance after school & during the summer
  • Promote a safe environment 
  • Assist in the implementation of club programs, games, & activities
  • Promote participation and assist in orienting & recruiting new members
  • Participates in staff meetings 
  • Participate in special initiatives and events
  • Ability to earn mandatory CPR and first aid certification
  • May be required to drive the Club vans

  • You are a self-starter and like to take initiative 
  • You like to organize, and can multi-task
  • Possess Spanish language skills (preferred, but not required)
  • You are professional and can maintain confidential information
  • You possess a valid State driver’s license and good driving record
  • You can pass a background check
