Lovell Arena is a new state of the art 117,000 square foot ice hockey arena and recreation center conveniently located on the South Shore of Boston just minutes off Route 3 in Rockland, Massachusetts.

Our goal is to provide the best on and off ice experience for players, parents, coaches, and kids of all ages. Our facility includes 3 NHL ice surfaces, a goalie surface, gym, pro shop, bowling alleys, golf simulators, arcade, and Top Shelf Bistro (Bar/Restaurant).

The Lovell Arena is recruiting for a Zamboni Driver.

Job Description

We are looking to bring on a part-time individual to focus on ice resurfacing and facilities work in a dynamic environment with a smart, fun team. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintain ice surfaces, general facilities, cleaning and maintenance.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service to all customers.
• Use hand tools to remove debris and clean equipment.
• Handle hazardous materials.
• Checking mechanical units.
• Understand and follow company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
• Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules regarding professional staff behavior.

 Scheduled Hours - Up to 20 hours a week 

• Ability to work a part-time flexible schedule including evenings 
• Ability to work weekends and holidays based on business needs

Requirements

Who are we looking for and will be successful in this role?

• 4+ year’s experience driving ice resurfacers
• Valid driver's license with a good record
• Experience working in a position where safety is #1
• Customer service experience with challenging customers
• Individuals who are flexible and can pivot quickly to new tasks and needs
• Team experience and also comfortable working independently
• Ability to problem solve and make best and safe decisions quickly

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in a cold environment and wear heavy work clothes
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Able to work in noisy environment
• Able to be on feet and do extensive walking for many hours
• Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
