The Role In this role, you will be working closely with our co-founders and will drive all aspects of people and organization-related initiatives to succeed in IZUMO projects. This role will be pivotal to creating an environment where people thrive and contribute. You will be responsible for: Being a strong partner and advisor to the business on all HR-related matters, majorly focussing on Organizational Design and Employee Engagement for our growing business Advising management on policies and procedures in line with statutory laws and company guidelines. Developing and maintaining internal and external HR communication strategies. Building and optimizing a successful recruitment process. Introducing and executing leadership development strategies Fostering a positive and engaging company culture and system. Resolving employee issues and conducting thorough investigations where required. Working across teams to ensure HR objectives are met. Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement. Ideal Profile You possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferably in Human Resources or Business Management You have at least 3 years of experience in HRBP roles, within globally distributed companies or fast-paced start-ups. You have experience setting up HR processes and policies, including Organizational Design, Leadership Development and Employee Engagement. You also have experience advising senior stakeholders on HR strategy and roadmap Prior experience working with US-based organizations or managing US-based teams would be advantageous You are hands-on with tools like Notion, Google apps, Microsoft software, Slack, and Zoom etc. You have a good understanding of legal and statutory requirements pertaining to HR practices. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and build credibility across all levels of the organisation. Proficiency in Japanese would be advantageous in order to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders in Japan.
