About the role
In this role, you will:
- Lead by example for the OHS team to promote the realization of ONE HSE culture in the project.
- Coordinate with project OHS team and corporate to ensure Thiess standard, client requirements and applicable government regulations are complied.
- Ensure the operational activities comply with Thiess standard and applicable Government Regulation.
- Ensure lead indicator targets related to Occupational Health & Hygiene within the projects are monitored.
- Ensure all action plans (from incident investigation, audit, inspection, hazard report, CCV, OH Monitoring, etc) identified and recorded related to Occupational Health & Hygiene has been followed up and completed.
- Ensure all education and training related to Occupational Health and Hygiene identified and conducted for all related personnel.
- Ensure the risk management related Occupational Health and Hygiene for the project is in place.
- Ensure the monitoring and the analysis of work environment monitoring program at project are implemented consistently.
- Work with Company Doctors, Paramedic, Training Centre staff to develop/revise relevant Occupational Health and Hygiene training packages.
- Ensure occupational health and hygiene monitoring tools are calibrated and provide guidance and training to those personnel who utilise health and hygiene monitoring tools.
- Actively identify any current or previous existing training which can improve the OHS competency for the individual or team member.
- Actively train, coach and mentor the team member or the mining operational team member to improve their Occupational Health and Hygiene competency.
About you
- Preferably a tertiary background on occupational health & safety with 5 years related experience
- Hold Certification in industrial hygiene (as minimal HIMU), preferably HIMA, HIU
- Knowledge, skills, and experience in safety management systems.
- Occupational health & Hygiene Professional
- Statistical analysis.
- Delivery of results.
- Have experience in health risk management , incident investigation, workplace inspection
