Deskripsi Pekerjaan - Financial Controller

JOB DESCRIPTION

One of Canggu’s dining and nightlife hotspots specialising in exquisite Middle Eastern & Mediterranean cuisine is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team immediately.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will play a key role in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, while also providing strategic recommendations to improve profitability and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Requirements :

- Open for local candidates.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience of at least three years in financial management or accounting roles, preferably within the Food and Beverage (FnB) industry.
- Extensive knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory standards specific to the F&B sector.
- Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and mitigate risks.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools, as well as accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity in financial reporting and analysis.
- Strategic mindset with a focus on driving financial performance and optimising profitability.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

 

Responsibilities :

- Develop and implement financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Oversee all aspects of company finances, including payments, receivables, cost management, and banking activities.
- Implement efficient financial processes and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
- Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management.
- Monitor budget performance and variances, providing analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal stakeholders and company owners.
- Present financial results, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, highlighting key insights and trends.
- Manage cash flow effectively by forecasting cash needs, optimising cash balances, and monitoring liquidity.
- Implement cash management strategies to ensure sufficient funds are available for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
- Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required by senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Communicate financial performance and trends to stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Utilise accounting software QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records and facilitate financial transactions.
- Ensure the integrity and security of financial data within the accounting system.
- Establish and maintain control over stock management processes, including inventory tracking and valuation.
- Implement measures to optimise stock levels, minimise stock holding costs, and prevent stock shortages or excesses.
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
