Position: Purchasing Supervisor

Company Overview:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of healthcare equipment with Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) capabilities. Their products are used in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities across Indonesia. 

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Supervisor to join our client team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchasing process and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services for our client manufacturing operations. You will work closely with the suppliers, production team, and other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials and services

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish long-term relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement

- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure timely availability of materials for production

- Collaborate with the production team to understand their material needs and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules

- Work closely with the Quality Control department to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications

- Develop and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and government regulations

- Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

- Train and supervise purchasing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective performance

- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities, including cost analysis, supplier performance, and inventory levels, to management

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment

- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices

- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

- Proficient in using purchasing software and Microsoft Office applications

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and supervise a team

- Knowledge of healthcare equipment and materials is a plus
