HSE & Permitting Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced HSE & Permitting Engineer with a strong background in Oil & Gas, particularly in onshore gas processing plants and pipelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management alongside expertise in permitting processes. The role entails ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing safety protocols, and managing permitting activities for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) and EPCIC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for onshore and offshore operations, including gas processing plants and pipelines.
• Oversee the preparation and submission of permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation for project approval.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE requirements into engineering designs, construction plans, and operational procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor compliance with HSE regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Provide HSE guidance and support to project managers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and reporting, implementing preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, and local communities to address HSE concerns and maintain positive relationships.
• Stay updated on industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to HSE and permitting.
