One of the initiatives under the nexus of energy, cities and transport is called: Bali Net Zero Emission 2045 Initiative program. The Bali Climate and Green Development Initiative is a five-year program on the decarbonization of Bali through clean energy transition, e-mobility, and climate entrepreneurship and leadership to achieve Bali Net-Zero Emission in 2045. The initiative is a collaborative effort between implementing partners through Bali Net Zero Emission Coalition/ Project Management Office (PMO), which will synergize Bali local actors and stakeholders in accelerating the clean energy transition, implementing electric vehicle, and strengthening the local communities’ involvement in the green development agenda.
World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia, Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR), New Energy Nexus, CAST Foundation and ViriyaENB , have co-designed a multi-year’s program for Bali Net Zero Emission 2045 Initiative with our local actors and partners in Bali, to demonstrate how a rapid, province-scale effort with a focus on energy decarbonization and climate solutions can benefit local people, the economy, and the environment, while at the same time providing a strong foundation for Bali Net-Zero Emission goals by 2045 and contributing to national climate targets. This program’s theory of change is adapted from the program to ensure synergy and collaboration between partners to achieve our overarching goal.
To support program planning and implementation as well as ensure alignment across partners, within Bali Net Zero Emission 2045 Initiative, WRI Indonesia as a Secretariat of the Coalition would like to engage with a PMEL Specialist based in Bali to develop Project planning, including Theory of Change, Logical Framework and Monitoring and Evaluation Plan and reporting , and other support across Bali Net Zero Emission 2045 Initiative.
Job Highlight
The PMEL Specialist will support the WRI Indonesia by providing support to the coalition in developing and finalizing Theory of Change , elaborating the MEL framework and plan, identifying indicators and conducting the MEL process in collaboration with the partners, providing capacity building to the partners, ensuring integration of GEDSI (Gender, Equity, Disability and Social Inclusion) to the MEL process, as well as managing report and result of the program to the Secretariat and Steering Committee of Bali Net Zero Emission Coalition.
This post will report directly to Senior Lead, Bali Programme Management Unit, with day-to-day coordination and supervision from Senior Lead, Bali Programme Management Unit, Head of PMEL and MfR , and close collaboration with other Program Managers from the partners.
The post holder will be based in Bali with office-flex working arrangement and high commutting frequencies within Bali area and travel to other cities as needed,

What You Will Need
Education:
Master's degree, or equivalent, in Social Studies, Development Studies, Public Policy, Urban and Regional Planning, Engineering , or related fields; or University degree in Social Studies, Development Studies, Public Policy, Urban and Regional Planning, Engineering or related fields combined with a specialized experience in similar organization/s, may be considered in lieu of a master’s degree.

Contract Arrangement
Full-time with f ixed-term employment agreement up to 31 December 2024 with 3 (three) months of consultancy contract apply before the fixed-term employment agreement started.
