About the role

As a Consultant for our Indonesia Business, you will be responsible for leveraging your consulting skills and subject matter expertise, to enhance our impact in client engagements, aimed at identifying, designing and implementing effective solutions withing your area of expertise. You will create impact in client engagements by:

  • Leveraging your strong foundation in consulting skills to enhance our impact in client engagements and to create new solutions for our teams to deliver in future client engagements.
  • Working in tandem with managers to prepare technical and commercial proposals.
  • Independently managing end to end projects and identifying areas of improvement of new processes and design and implementing effective solutions within your area of expertise.
  • Independently undertaking / leading the analysis, including quantitative and qualitative evaluations of results and preparation of reports and presentations to be used in client engagements and business development.
  • Engaging clients across scoping, proposal preparation and project management.
  • Following up and implementing the proposed solutions at clients’ sites.
  • Leading clients through meetings, interviews and workshops at various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Possessing strong industry knowledge and staying abreast with current trends, pricing and new technology related to industry or technical practice.
  • Developing project work plans, progress trackers and status report, alongside being able to identify project critical paths, project risk, mitigation plans and issue management.
  • Working closely with Senior Subject Matter Experts to assist in delivering and co delivering workstreams.

Internally, you will be involved in:

  • Building effective working relationships regionally and participating in global technical communities to ensure a strong network of resources, alongside possessing a network of regional contacts.
  • Supporting by contributing to the development and / or enhancement of existing dss+ IP, functional/industry networks, in the relevant field of expertise, such as developing reusable assets and sharing thought leadership etc.
  • Participating and contributing to functional and/or industry networks with the aim of developing and sharing best practices.

More specifically, you would be contributing to the following areas:

Client, Delivery and Stakeholder Management:

  • Ensuring the execution of multiple co-current complex consulting assignments to meet / exceed client deliverables as per expectations.
  • Building and enhancing strong relationships with existing/ prospective clients to position the company as a trusted partner.
  • Taking the lead in engaging clients through meetings, interviews, and workshops at various stages of the project lifecycle and leading the development of high-quality presentations and documents to be used in client engagements and business development.

Building the Firm: (Knowledge Management and Continuous Improvement)

  • Supporting DSS+ knowledge base through creating best practice project content and standardizing project practices and templates.
  • Supporting the development and publishing of thought leadership and new perspectives, including DSS Points of View, and educating key stakeholders internally and externally.

People Leadership and Team Management:

  • Proactively seeking opportunities to help team members and leveraging the strengths of each team member to ensure project collaboration, ensuring successful deliverable of client projects.

About You

You have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following industries:

  • Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Mining & Metals, Industrial Manufacturing, Power & Utilities.
  • You are knowledgeable, proficient and possess experience in the following areas such as:
  • Process Hazards Analysis – HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, Consequence Analysis, FMEA, Human Factors Review, Bow Tie, Safety Case, SIL assessments.
  • Asset Integrity Management
  • Process Safety and Risk Management
  • Facilitation experience and involvement in process hazard analysis, Incident investigation, Management of change, emergency response, pre-startup safety reviews
  • Familiar and knowledgeable with applicable and relevant industry safety regulations and design standards and practices
  • Hands on Facility Operational, process engineering and design experience will be an advantage.

  • Possess effective leadership skills to drive execution in complex environments. You can work independently but are personable, a good listener and connect easily with others, making you a great team player.
  • You enjoy the variety and sometimes ambiguous contexts of contributing to a wide range of client projects unfolding simultaneously.
  • Strong/effective verbal and written communication to be able to interact at different levels of the organization, from Executive down to technicians and operators.

To be successful, you should possess the following:

  • A graduate from a top tier university with a Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years associated industry / technical and client facing experience / exposure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex research projects and provide relevant recommendations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and team working attitude, to be able to work in multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience in diverse industry sectors is an advantage: Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Metals &Mining, Chemicals, Power &Utilities, Industrial Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrable experience of Management Systems design and implementation.
  • High level of proficiency with PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Advanced Excel, Access, and ideally visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with use of tools such as PHA-Pro, PHAST, Bow Tie XP.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English as well as Bahasa.
