Business Development Manager - Automotive

Our client is a dynamic and sizeable company within the automotive industry, dedicated to innovation and growth. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join the team. This role focuses on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate actions, providing strategic advisory to drive their business forward.

Job Description

• Conduct feasibility studies for potential business acquisitions, evaluating industry conditions, market size, competitive landscape, financial performance, strategic alignment, risks, and case studies
• Develop and prepare financial projections and valuations to support feasibility studies using various methodologies
• Perform market research on relevant industries, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making
• Lead PMO activities for company share transactions
• Manage and oversee corporate actions, ensuring coordination between departments, effective communication with stakeholders, adherence to timelines, and thorough documentation review
• Provide strategic advisory and support for M&A initiatives to drive company growth and expansion
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure smooth execution of M&A and corporate actions
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing findings from feasibility studies, market research, financial analyses, and transaction updates

The Successful Applicant

This role is based in Jakarta - in order to be shortlisted, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, accounting or a related field; Master's degree or CFA not required but a plus
• 5 years of experience in corporate development, Big 4 or start-ups
• Proven experience in M&A, corporate finance, advisory or related fields
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate complex transactions
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry or related sectors would be an advantage
