Overall Responsibilities
Reporting to the Communication and Knowledge Management Manager and working closely with the BEBAS-TB Provincial Team and Technical Team, the Communication Specialist will support the implementation of USAID BEBAS-TB Social Media Communication Activities. The Communication Specialist will mainly support in the digital media through the USAID BEBAS-TB Social Media Channels, by producing creative and compelling content that will be distributed via digital channel: social media, e-newsletter, knowledge sharing platforms, and ensuring seamless coordination with the partners organization for the digital collaborations.
Specific Responsibilities
Working with the Communication and Knowledge Management Manager and Senior Communication Specialist (Home Office), develop and execute a social strategy, social content calendar and editorial calendar.
Post created and curated content on relevant social channels to ensure an interactive, two-way social media conversation, while maintaining USAID branding and marking requirements
Collaborate with partners to cross promote content.
Utilize a variety of content (visuals, photos, videos) and types of posts (i.e. static post, Reels, Stories, live streaming, polls) for optimal audience engagement.
Design and produce creative and compelling educational and promotional content in line with BSMP (i.e. newsletters, social media posts)
Collaborate with technical staff, internal partners, program support colleagues, and external partners (consortium, government) to execute content creation strategy.
Work with external vendors as needed to produce digital collateral.
Manage and curate social assets (graphics, photos, videos) curating for posts as needed.
Regularly conduct social listening for USAID BEBAS-TB social media channels through the popular survey to the key followers in social media as part of the social media evaluations and insights
Distill a combination of different datasets (social media and traditional media) to create compelling reports outlining key learnings, as well as meaningful implications and actionable recommendations to help achieve overall project activities goals while reflecting USAID BEBAS-TB branding guidelines and standards.
Share lessons learned and best practices with MSH communications staff.
Ensure adherence to USAID BEBAS-TB communication standards and ensure quality and consistent use by employee’s, partners and stakeholders in their digital interactions with USAID BEBAS-TB (such as post collaboration with partners, sending updates of internal activities and external activities, participating in the meetings).
