Geotechnical Specialist (GEP)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Structural or equivalent.

• Ideally Chartered Engineer .

• 20 Years in O&G.

• 15 Years in Geotechnical engineering.

• 10 Years as Geotechnical Specialist.

• Experience in review and provide assurance on the correctness of geophysical and geotechnical survey data reports including laboratory testing of soil samples.

• Experience on development of a ground model for deep water pipeline design in highly active seismic area.

• Experience in leading geohazard analysis for deep water pipeline with high inclination (≥15 deg) and challenging seabed features (e.g. troughs, escarpments).

• Experience in defining pipe soil interaction for on-bottom stability assessments, free spananalysis, liquefaction analysis, seismic loading expectations, pipeline global buckling and walking assessment, define seabed zonation.

• Extensive experience in FEED and EPC projects activities related to geotechnical engineering ofdeep water pipeline.

• Proficient knowledge and working experience of geotechnical engineering involved with all phases of projects from FEED to detail engineering and through to construction and pre-commissioning, project management and QC controls and procedures relating to project delivery.
