Head of Risk Digitization

Role
AwanTunai is looking for a Head of Risk Digitization who will lead and execute digitization of our risk management processes, covering transformation of internally generated analogue data from all risk processes into structured data, building continuous improvement capabilities for risk underwriting, fraud monitoring, and collection management models, amongst other general operational excellence improvement projects.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the digitization of our current risk management functions, specifically ensuring analogue data generated via manual processes are captured on system as structured data. Such data is required to enable technology development that enhances risk assessment, monitoring, and reporting performance.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for digitization and automation within the risk management framework.
3. Develop and implement risk analytics models and tools to improve risk decision-making.
4. Drive the development and deployment of digital solutions for credit underwriting, portfolio management, and testing.
5. Oversee the design and implementation of risk management systems and platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
6. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in risk management and financial services, and recommend digitization strategy initiatives to maintain a competitive edge.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive the adoption of digital risk management solutions and best practices.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, business, computer science, or a related field. Master degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management in financial services, with a focus on digital transformation and innovation. Experience in a startup environment will be advantageous.
3. Proven track record of successfully leading digital initiatives in the financial services industry, preferably within risk management or credit risk.
4. Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
5. Experience with risk analytics, data modeling, and statistical analysis techniques.
6. Expertise in implementing risk management systems, platforms, and tools, with proficiency in relevant software and technologies.
7. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
8. Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving continuous improvement and innovation.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
10. Must be fluent in Indonesian and English, both written and spoken.
