In line with their expanding business structure and exciting development plan, a great opportunity has become available for a vibrant and talented professional to join this organization, as the Head of Tax who will be responsible for managing tax reporting and compliance within the organization as well as tax planning in preparation for future filings.

Job Description

Tax Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, and other relevant taxes.
• Maintain compliance with all Indonesian tax laws and regulations.
• Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements.

• Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize the company's tax position.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the company's operations and strategies.
• Provide strategic tax advice on business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate activities.

• Identify and manage tax risks, ensuring that the company is adequately protected against potential tax exposures.
• Conduct regular tax audits and reviews to identify areas of risk and implement corrective actions as necessary.

• Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of tax strategies with overall business objectives.
• Represent the company in dealings with tax authorities and external auditors.

• Provide clear and concise communication to senior management and the board of directors regarding tax-related matters.
• Liaise with external tax advisors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies as required.

The Successful Applicant

This role is based in Jakarta we are only looking for Indonesian nationals. Whilst fluency in Bahasa would be an advantage strong written and spoken English is a must. The successful candidate must ensure tax returns are completed and accurate to minimize tax obligations. He/she must have excellent tax skills and highly analytical skill as this is a very commercial oriented position. Previous working experience in an MNC business, ideally within a matrix structure, is essential too.
Other key requirements include:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
• 15 years combined experience in public accounting/tax company and large organization with complex taxation.
• Strong familiarity with tax planning, transfer pricing, tax strategy and tax exposure.
• Has sound working knowledge of Indonesian tax regulation. Develops and maintains an expertise in the taxation area.
• Brevet Tax A&B qualification.
