Merger & Acquisition Analyst

The M&A Analyst will report to the Senior VP of M&A and play a crucial role in the company's expansion efforts. As a key player within the regional team, you will be focusing on acquisitions, investments and financing transactions. Responsibilities include due diligence, negotiations, valuations and post-acquisition integration. Additionally, you will gain exposure to private equity investment processes.

Description

• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and expansion opportunities in the industry.
• Market services to internal partners and external clients, develop client networks, and support sales and marketing strategies.
• Evaluate potential M&A opportunities, including financial analysis, due diligence, and risk assessment.
• Develop financial models and forecasts to assess the potential impact of acquisitions on the company's financial performance.
• Develop and organise tools and programs for a more efficient transaction environment.
• Assist in training Corporate Development professionals on legal and compliance issues related to transaction process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the region, including finance, legal, and operations, to facilitate the execution of M&A transactions.
• Assist in negotiating and structuring deals, including pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Manage project integration plans for successful transfer of capabilities and achievement of business objectives.

Profile

This role is based in Jakarta - in order to be shortlisted, candidates must have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business, management, economics, or accounting; Master's degree or CFA not required but a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, consulting, CEO Office or start-ups
• Past M&A experience preferred
• Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Microsoft PowerPoint and presentations skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
