Senior Sourcing & Product Development Associate [Mama's Choice]

Sourcing and Procurement:

• End-to-end sourcing process for products, collaborating closely with factories, suppliers, and vendors
  
• Conduct thorough market research to identify new sourcing opportunities, emerging trends, and potential partners.
  
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize costs, quality, and lead times.
  
• Negotiate and renegotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers to ensure the best value for the organization
  
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors to ensure a collaborative and productive partnership
  

Product Development & Improvement:

• Ideate and develop designs for new products based on market research and consumer data
  
• Manage the product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to final product delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals and customer preferences.
  
• Work closely across functions (Branding, E-commerce, etc) to share insights, USPs, best practices, and collaborate on cost optimization initiatives
  
• Oversee product sampling, testing, and quality assurance to meet established standards.
  
• Identify opportunities for product innovation and enhancement to maintain competitiveness in the market and/or improve gross margins
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure commercial decisions and standards are met
  

What We Would Like to See

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in procurement, supply chain or relevant industries
  
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from a reputable university, with second class honours and above
  
• Fluent in English
  
• Proven track record within sourcing, interacting with diverse stakeholders within the company, manufacturers, vendors would be a huge advantage
  
• Strong financial acumen
  
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
  
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  
• Familiar with best practices, supplier management and metrics
