Job Overview

As a Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and sourcing high-quality agricultural input products. You will work closely with the pricing analyst to determine the pricing as well as per the requirement. 

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and source high-quality agricultural products and materials, including, but not limited to: seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agriinput producers/distributors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Negotiate prices and contracts with suppliers to secure the best deal.
• Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential new suppliers and products.
• Conduct regular quality checks on products to ensure they meet the standards
• Maintain accurate records of sourcing activities and report on key metrics to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in upstream agriculture industry.
• Strong understanding of agricultural products and materials, including, bot not limited to: seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides.
• Experience in negotiating prices and contracts with suppliers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
• Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers and clients as needed.
