HDUM is a specialized Marine Surveying and Consultancy company offering a wide range of professional services, including:

• Flag State Inspections for Malta, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and other registries.

• Marine Warranty Surveys for offshore LNG terminals and pipeline installations, offshore wind farm projects, and heavy-lift project cargo operations.

• Risk Review and Condition Surveys for ships and offshore drilling units on behalf of P&I clubs and shipowners.

• Dry Bulk Vessel Inspections on behalf of RightShip, the global leader in vessel vetting.

• Technical Management Support, including drydock and repair supervision, SMS internal audits, on-board technical inspections, crew training, and ship management consultancy.

• Marine Casualty Investigation, covering collisions, oil spills, structural damages, cargo loss or damage, and crew-related incidents (injury, missing persons, or fatalities).

• Pre-loading & discharging survey for steel cargo, bulk cargo, equipment, vehicles, yachts, Nickel ore etc.



In January 2020, HDUM was appointed by the Hong Kong Marine Department to conduct Flag State and Pre-Arrival Audits for Hong Kong-registered vessels in Mainland China and internationally, reinforcing our role in maintaining compliance and quality assurance. In October 2020, we gained authorization from the Republic of the Marshall Islands to carry out Flag State Inspections. Further strengthening our global footprint, in December 2024, HDUM obtained approval from the Malta Flag State to perform inspections, underscoring our position as a trusted authority in maritime safety and regulatory compliance worldwide.



HDUM is an approved expert company for Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM), accredited by IACS member classification societies, including Lloyd’s Register (LR), Bureau Veritas (BV), Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (NKK), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), China Classification Society (CCS), and Korean Register (KR). We are also authorized by the Republic of Liberia and the Republic of the Marshall Islands. All our surveyors are fully qualified and certified to conduct on-board IHM surveys in accordance with international requirements.



Our in-house team consists of highly skilled professionals with extensive maritime backgrounds, including former Master Mariners, Chief Engineers, Deck Officers, Shipyard Managers, and Classification Society surveyors.
