Careers at Singapore Buddhist Lodge, The

Singapore Buddhist Sutra Distribution Centre was founded on 16 July 1933 with the aim of promoting the Buddha's teachings and circulation of Buddhist scriptures.  It was renamed The Singapore Buddhist Lodge (SBL) on 17 June 1934, after a series of expansions and change.

To help lay Buddhists learning Dharma and protecting Triple Gems, to propagate Mahayana Buddhism to be relevant to today's world, by following these key cultivations to reach our common goal, the Pureland.

SBL's objective is to propagate Dharma and to perform charitable undertakings.  Since its establishment, SBL has been very active in areas such as promoting Dharma's teaching; reaching out to the destitute, giving out bursaries; provide affordable medical services and etc. to help the general public accumulate merits.
