Sofotec Singapore Pte Ltd was founded in October 2000 with a goal of being the number one

integrated Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) provider in Singapore. We started by representing the

leader of this technology, Smartec SA, Switzerland.

Since then, we have been a leading solution provider in SHM using Fibre Optic Sensors in Singapore

and to date, we have supplied and installed more than 8,000 Fiber optic Sensors. They have been

installed in both newly developed and redeveloped residential, commercial and also recently, in green

structures.

Company Key Milestones

2005: We have designed and installed Fiber optic sensors to monitor the columns and link-bridges at

Pinnacle @ Duxton project. This is also the first centralized remote automatic SHM monitoring system.

System was commissioned in 2010.

2007: We represent ground stabilization and slab injection lifting products from Uretek, Finland.

Completed projects for industrial warehouses located in mainly Senoko, Jurong and Tuas areas.

2010: Installed Fiber Optic Sensors for long term monitoring of a 4-Storey commercial building

2016: Installed Wireless Sensors for a local train operator at several viaducts to monitoring bearing

displacement and strain

2017: Supply, installed and commissioned a 4.4km leak and instruction detection monitoring system

for a local utilities operator using Fiber Optic Technology.
