We are supporting our client and looking for a Facilities Operations & Workplace Support Manager to join on a 5-month contract, starting as soon as possible. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being close to day-to-day office operations and can step in quickly to keep the workplace running smoothly with minimal ramp-up.
The Role
Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day facilities and workplace matters, ensuring the smooth running of the office environment.
Manage daily operational needs across the workplace, including maintenance requests, minor office changes, and general floor support.
Coordinate routine repairs, maintenance activities, and attendance of external service providers such as cleaners and contractors.
Oversee workplace services including pantry supplies, office consumables, and general upkeep to maintain service standards and cost efficiency.
Support space management activities such as desk allocations, locker assignments, and minor workplace reconfigurations.
Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes from a facilities perspective, including access, desk setup, and basic workplace readiness.
Support office security processes, access control, and emergency or incident response activities as required.
Work closely with vendors to ensure services are delivered in line with expectations and escalate issues where needed.
Support reporting, compliance checks, and documentation to ensure adherence to internal standards, SOPs, and HSE requirements.
Assist with business continuity activities, office moves, and internal events when required.
Your Profile
Hands-on experience in facilities management, workplace services, or corporate office operations.
Proven experience coordinating vendors and service providers in a live office environment.
Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable handling day-to-day operational issues with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Familiarity with workplace safety, compliance standards, or basic HSE requirements is an advantage.
Able to work independently and step in quickly with minimal ramp-up.
