Full Stack Engineer

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Kotlin

We are hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join an enterprise engineering team within a large, structured corporate environment. This role supports the design, development, and enhancement of internal systems that are critical to business operations.

The team is expanding and is focused on delivery efficiency and long-term system ownership. This position is well suited for engineers who are comfortable operating independently, solving problems beyond textbook scenarios, and delivering reliable, production-ready solutions.

About the Role
As a Full Stack Engineer, you will primarily focus on backend engineering, with frontend responsibilities forming a smaller but important part of the role. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, taking ownership of backend-heavy solutions that require strong logical thinking, clean design, and the ability to anticipate real-world usage patterns. While the role includes exposure to frontend technologies, success in this position is driven by backend strength, problem-solving ability, and independence rather than UI specialisation.

This role is well suited for engineers who identify primarily as backend developers, are comfortable operating with minimal guidance, and can deliver reliable, production-ready solutions in a structured corporate environment.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop backend services using Java and Kotlin
• Build and maintain frontend components using TypeScript, JavaScript, and React
• Work with MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL databases to support application functionality
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code aligned with enterprise engineering standards
• Participate in code reviews and collaborative development activities, including pair programming
• Independently troubleshoot issues and implement robust solutions
• Complete coding assignments and project tasks by strictly following documented requirements

Must-Have Experience

• Minimum 3+ years proven experience developing applications with Java and Kotlin in a corporate or enterprise setting
• Full stack development experience, including React, TypeScript, and JavaScript
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL
• Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned work
• Experience delivering working code under minimal supervision
